Rock Spa on Fregate Island

This tiny island in the Seychelles goes to great lengths to preserve its environment.

The island is a bird sanctuary and is very protective of the beautiful coral reef that surrounds it. Scuba diving and snorkeling are spectacular.

Only 40 guests get to stay on the island at one time and no day visitors are allowed.

A team of gardeners grows fruits, vegetables and herbs which are used to prepare gourmet dishes at the two restaurants.

Island-grown plants, many of them organic, are used in unique treatments at the spa.

While the 16 guest villas are very costly at 1,300 Euro per night, a visit to Fregate Island is a fantastic experience.
