Sadie Cove near Homer, Alaska is powered by wind and hydroelectric energy. The wilderness lodge was built 30 years ago from salvaged driftwood by hand without any chemicals.

The lodge has received high praises for its environmental stewardship. There are just five guest cabins in the heart of Alaskan wilderness.

Drinking water comes from a fresh mountain stream and whatever waste is produced is recycled.

Guests get so savor wild seafood and fresh produce grown in the garden at Sadie Cove.

Activities include wildlife watching, nature walks, fishing, whale watching, relaxing in the log sauna, hiking, and sea kayaking.

All-inclusive rates from $425 per person per night.
